An untamed panorama...
The Kimberley is a semi-tropical region comprising of two distinct seasons; the ‘wet’ and the ‘dry’. Temperatures from 18 degrees – 35 degrees Celsius are expected throughout the year.
The wet season occurs during the months of October – March with rain expected from December onward. This encompasses periods of much needed rain, spectacular thunderstorm activity and impressive sunsets. Humidity can be high with daytime temperatures often in the low 30’s with nights in the mid 20’s.
The wet season is a wonderful time in the Kimberley, an experience not to be missed.
In contrast is the dry season, occurring during the months of April through to September, epitomized by magnificent blue skies, with daytime temperatures in the high 20’s and cool starry nights.
This remote wilderness area has its beauty on display in both seasons and will make you want to come back time and again to explore this majestic landscape. |
